Hop through the archway to pick up three Red Gems, then defeat the two Dogs and the Shepherd in front of the column in the next room for a Green Gem and two Reds. Hop down and take out the Sleeping Dog next to the low wall on the left side for a Green Gem, then the Shepherd and Sleeping Dog in front of the doorway for a Green and Red Gem. Defeat them to get two more Green Gems and a Red Gem, but be careful as the Shepherd can knock you off the cliff with his crook. To your left you can spot an area with two Red Gems, a Green Gem, and a Shepard with two Dogs. And thirdly, the Dogs pause in the air before slamming down, meaning Spyro can avoid them simply by not staying still.ĭefeat the Sleeping Dog behind the Shepherd for a Red Gem, pick up the three Red Gems along the wall to your right, then hop up onto the platform for two more Red Gems. Second, it takes longer for the Dogs to jump up into the air, means Spyro can kill them before they can attack with their belly flop. First, Spyro can Flame more rapidly in Reignited. If you're playing Reignited however they are a fair bit easier, for a few reasons. This will catch them in the air and hit them a second time, allowing for a swift victory. In actuality, the best way to defeat them is to Flame them, then quickly jump up and Flame again. The logical thing to do is use the bumpers to Roll out of the way, but this is often too slow to be effective. This racks up the damage and Spyro will be dead before sniffing Toasty’s bread. These guys suck because they’re one of the few enemies to have two hitpoints rather than just one, and as soon as they see you they’ll jump up into the air and squash Spyro flat with a belly flop, even when you wake them up with a Flame Attack.

Next to the Shepherd will be one of the most annoying enemies in the PS1 version of the game, the Sleeping Dog.
